Getting Rid of Acne Scars

Getting rid of acne scars

Many people have thought that having acnes over their face is bothersome and upsetting. It hurts your face and, psychologically speaking, undermines your confidence to appear in front of many people. That’s why most people with acnes unsurprisingly would try anything for getting rid of acne scars.

After making every effort to deal with those acnes, you may think you’re successfully rid of them and able to prevent them from reappearing. The problem hasn’t ended actually. There’s still another problem to deal with, not to say, acne scars that left from your previous acnes. They tend to be more permanent, mar your face, and a bit hard to remove. But, no need to worry! There’re lots of ways to eliminate those scars, either by home remedies or medical procedures administered in a doctor’s office.

Home remedies, which you can do by yourself from the comfort of your home, includes the use of acne scar removal cream, olive oil, lemon juice, or other over-the-counter treatments. Using such acne scar removal cream is a doodle, simply like using any ordinary cream. Lots of brands are available on the market today like Klear Acne Treatment, Oxy 10, and Skinoren Acne Cream. If you preferred to use cream, be sure to use the best one with proven results only.

On the other hand, if you preferred to use such a more herbal treatment, you can use 100% olive oil and rub it onto the scars four times a day. Alternatively, you can use lemon juice instead. Simply squeeze some lemon juice on a cotton pad and gently apply to the scars. Both would help you minimize the scars, making them less noticeable.

Though it is a cinch to do, home remedies generally take longer than costlier medical procedures. Hence, I think they are best for treating milder acne scars; whereas, it is imperative to seek help of a specialist or dermatologist for more severe cases. Your doctor will decide the best treatment based on the type of scarring you have. There are some options your doctor probably would recommend you. Laser treatment, dermabrassion, and chemical peels are some most popular treatments. Laser treatment is said to work effectively removing redness and the appearance of scars tremendously. Indeed, it would be costly and still you have to go to multiple sessions to get the best result.

Dermabrassion, on the other hand, would be very painful to undergone since you’ll get your skin being literally abraded. It is the top layer of skin, particularly the dead layer of protective cells, which is being peeled off by the use of an instrument. You’ll feel like taking sand paper to the skin and giving it a good scratching. Quite painful, right?
Almost similar to dermabrassion that remove the surface skin, chemical treatment somehow use a range of chemical treatments applied to the skin. This would be left for a period of time to let the skin cells dissolved, promote the growth of new tissues while replacing the scar tissue.
Lastly, whatever treatment you’d like to take for getting rid of acne scars, make sure that it’s safe for you and your skin.
