Laser resurfacing treatment may diminish acne scars by removing top layer of skin of scarring area and leaving tight and smooth skin. For more indented acne scars, tissue filler can work to remove them since it works by stimulating collagen which later on can make the skin surface more plump and smooth. Other options like chemical peeling and dermabrasion are both effective in fading the acne scars by exfoliating the top layer of the skin and exposing smoother and healthier skin underneath.
